There’s nothing more splendid and riveting in professional golf than the U.S. Open. Except maybe for watching a boozed-up John Daly throw a temper tantrum on the course and eat a live squirrel. However, given that those chances are slim, it’s best to stick to what is somewhat predictable. So far, the early odds go to Tiger Woods at 7/2 and Phil “Yes, These Are My Real Boobs” Mickelson at 6/1. We like the whole Tiger Woods will kill everybody in his wake since he found his swing angle and do think he’ll become the prohibitve favorite as we get closer to the June 16 event. And just like Wesley Snipes told us in Passenger 57, we’ll always bet on black when it comes to golf. Or half-black, in this instance.
