Tonight’s game 6 of the NBA finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons is poised to be an anti-climatic letdown after the high drama of Big Shot Mother Effin’ Bob in game 5 gave fans a glimmer of hope that this series wouldn’t be visual melatonin for the sleep-deprived viewers. Tonight’s game shows the Spurs as 5 1/2 point favorites at home—where they’ve dominated throughout the series—and gives a 172 o/u line. San Antonio has the confidence, the home court, the chance for its(are you kidding??)THIRD RING and will most likely not falter. Here’s hoping the Spurs do make it a little exciting for the fans and just let the Pistons hang around and force Robert Horry to sink the game-winning shot again. But this time they should pass it to him at half-court and have him mule-kick it into the net. Anyway…
