Wimbledon: Henman, Nadal Stain Grass Brown

filed under Sports Betting : Tennis

henman.jpgWelp, that was impressive. Tim Henman’s Wimbledon fairy tale ended in wimpy second-round defeat on Thursday, 3-6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, 8-6 to 152nd-ranked Russian Dmitry Tursunov. And fourth seed Rafael Nadal also lost in four sets by Luxembourg’s Gilles Muller. (Again…who??). But this is more of a crushing defeat for Henman, as so lovingly put by the wire story right after the defeat:

Approaching his 31st birthday, his best chances of winning the title he covets most must surely be over.”I’ve certainly won my fair share of matches in that kind of environment and not being able to come off with the win is disappointing,” said the world No. 9.

Keep Henman away from ledges for the next 24 hours…
