They shouldn’t, but they sure are heavily talking about it these days.
The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot of things to decide on before starting the 2010 NFL football season. One of which is whether they will trade quarterback Donovan McNabb. As rumors begin to circulate regarding the future of McNabb, the Eagles have been reluctant to do any moves for now.
Donovan McNabb has been the heart and soul of the Philadelphia Eagles for years. McNabb has proven to be a solid NFL quarterback but has never won the ”Big One” despite being in NFC championship games five times including a consistent four-year run from 2001 to 2004.
While Donovan McNabb has shown above-average statistics, he has no Super Bowl wins and has only won the NFC championship game once in those five attempts. This lack of success has caused controversy among Philadelphia football fans and across the NFL.
McNabb is certainly no stranger to controversy. When he was selected with the second pick in the 1999 NFL Draft, Philadelphia fans were disappointed because they wanted University of Texas running back Rickey Williams.
In 2003, McNabb was the subject of controversial comments made by…

The Butler Bulldogs, you may not hear much about them but as of press time, they are ranked no.17 in the nation.
Of course, like other bracket-bound teams, the Bulldogs can use all sorts of momentum heading to the 2009 March Madness bracket tournament. Thankfully, they have Gordon Howard to make things easier for them.
Gordon Hayward is a top candidate for Horizon League player of the year. All seven of the 6-foot-8 freshman swingman’s best games had him scoring 19 or more points, ironically, all of them have come on the road, including a career-best 27 points in the Bulldogs’ 75-63 victory at Davidson.
He is shooting 52.5 percent from 3-point distance and 85.9 percent at the free-throw line in 14 road games. Hayward said he enjoys playing in hostile environments like Davidson’s sold-out Belk Arena, which holds 5,223. The Butler Bulldogs improved to 11-3 on the road with their 75-63 victory at Davidson. No team in Division I has more road wins.
The last time the Bulldogs met up with the Cleveland State Vikings, Butler edged Cleveland State 50-48 on Dec. 4 on a 3-pointer by Zach Hahn with one second remaining, capping a wild finish that featured three lead changes in the…

Merry Christmas people!
By now, I’m already off to a much needed vacation. (More specifically, playing Madden all day long without anyone bothering me…) But before I leave ya’ll here, I’m going to give ya’ll my very last weekly preview of the 2008-09 NFL football season. It’s already Week 17 people. Boy, time sure flies huh? And after 16 weeks, we learned that the Lions are only a loss away from becoming the most fucked up team in years, Tom Brady continues to lose his job to Matt Cassel and the Cowboys desperately need to win this Sunday to make the playoffs.
Yes, the Dallas Cowboys, after losing to Baltimore, 33-24, need to beat the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday to give themselves a shot of making the playoffs. And since Philly can only put up three points in their game against Washington last
Sunday, this is probably the perfect opportunity for the Cowboys to steal one in Philly.
Dallas Cowboys by 3.
The Atlanta Falcons, with a playoff berth already secured, will probably just look for some momentum heading for the postseason when they face the struggling the St. Louis Rams, who have now lost nine in a row. The Rams won’t have anything to gain on this game and they’d probably just rest some of their starters to give those guys a chance to rest up and…

How’s that to attract a pie of sports fans to pay attention to college hoops eh?
In case you didn’t know, the 2008-09 NCAA college basketball season is already heating up and last Monday night, we saw one powerhouse team get stunned by a virtual unknown, 60 feet away from the hoop.
That’s right, Cedric Jackson swished a 60-foot shot at the buzzer to stun the Syracuse Orange, leading his Cleveland State Vikings to a 72-69 win at the Carrier Dome.
The Syracuse Orange, ranked No.11 in the nation, was favored by most bookies to
beat the lowly Vikings team from Cleveland State handily. After all, they had the support of their fans at the Carrier Dome ready to heckle any Viking who puts up a shot to their hoop.
But for some reason, Syracuse just can’t seem to finish the Cleveland State Vikings off. Syracuse let Cleveland State hang with them up to the final minute of the game. And with the game tied with 2.2 seconds left, it happened.
The Vikings were more than happy to go to overtime with the game tied at 69-69. After all, surviving this long into the game against the powerhouse Syracuse Orange was already a huge accomplishment anyway.
Cleveland State senior Cedric Jackson, however, had other plans.
Jackson took the inbound pass from J’Nathan Bullock at the other end of the floor, turned and put up a two-handed Hail Mary shot, 60-feet away from…

Since week 15 in the NFL is the only football action we’ll see all weekend, we’re hoping the games we have this week will be good ones.
And since it’s basically now a footrace for the playoffs with only three weeks remaining into the 2008-09 NFL football season, these remaining few games should be very VERY competitive, to say the least, for teams still competing for playoff positions. And after 14 weeks into the season, we learned that the Lions still can’t win shit, the Packers are probably missing Favre by now and the Bills are back doing what they do best… LOSING.
And just like the last five weeks, NFL action starts this Thursday night with a game between the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears. The Saints are looking to avoid another crushing road loss to the Bears when these two postseason-hopeful teams meet on the NFL Network. However, as good as
both teams have been last Sunday, the Bears still have the better shot at a postseason berth since they only trail first-place Minnesota by one game in the NFC North. The New Orleans Saints are three games behind NFC South-leading Carolina, so their best chance is most likely a wild card. Winning a game against the Bears at Soldier Field should be tough considering the fact that these Bears already beat them on the same surface.
Chicago Bears by three.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons both took a step backwards in…

Happy Thanksgiving to ya’ll.
And yes, it’s the 13th week of the 2008-09 NFL football season as teams start to clamor for playoff positions, hoping that week no.13 will be a lucky one for them. And after 12 weeks, we learned that Matt Light and Channing Crowder fights like two eight-year-old school girls, Matt Cassel will be demanding for big dollars soon, Tony Romo is the only one in Dallas who can make Terrell Owens happy and the Lions are on the verge of setting a brand new record in the NFL, that’s becoming the biggest collection of human waste ever assembled on a football field.
And on Thanksgiving night, we will start the brand new week of football with three big games on Thursday. Starting with the last team to flirt with perfection this season, the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are looking to rebound from their first loss of the season. And with the still winless Detroit Lions set to
face them next, the stage is set for Tennessee bouncing back indeed. The 0-11 Lions are on the verge of becoming the first team in the NFL to go 0-16. And with teams like the Vikings, the Colts, the Saints and the Packers scheduled to play the struggling Lions next after going through the Titans, 0-16 is a scary possibility for the 313.
Tennessee Titans by 14.
Game 2 on Thanksgiving night will feature the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Seattle Seahawks. With Tony Romo returning to form and getting in sync with Terrell Owens last week, the Cowboys appear to have successfully put their mid-season troubles behind them. The Cowboys are 2-0 since Romo returned and with the struggling Seahawks set to play them at Texas Stadium next, a third straight win for America’s team is…

The Michigan Wolverines defense has come a long way.
In nearly 50 years of letting basically everything score on that NCAA College Football field, the Michigan Wolverines defense will come to this big game against the no.1 ranked team of the nation, the Ohio State Buckeyes, as one of the tougher defenses there is in NCAA Football.
Besides, three of Michigan’s defensive starters are likely to shake the hand of NFL Football Roger Goodell as first round picks in April. No wonder their defense this season is just plain awesome. Yep, the Wolverines are playing defense these days, something the Ohio State Buckeyes must watch out for.
‘’You’ll be impressed with Michigan,’’ Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage said.
‘
‘They’ve got a defensive line that we’d all like to have,’’ Minnesota Vikings head coach Glen Mason said. Yep, there sure are a lot of people expecting the Michigan Wolverines defense to pound on the Buckeyes and who can blame them?
You hear football coaches and analysts speak of quarterbacks and wideouts, but not a word often utilized to describe a front seven defensive line.
The Michigan Wolverines DEFENSE that has led them to an 11-0 record and a no.2 ranking, the DEFENSE charged with the responsibility of slowing down…

Well, that was a shitty NFL weekend. NCAA, not so bad. NFL? Eesh. We’ve learned our lesson on the Redskins and been exposed to the frauds they are. We’ve also learned that when Wellington Mara dies, it’s best not to bet against the Giants at home. It was also pretty stupid to bet against the Texans this week. They had to win at some point and Cleveland was probably it. So much for the Vikings being "inspired" by their post-boat-orgy victory. That was flawed logic. We projected our own feelings about playing a game after a sex boat orgy and figured it would carry over.
