Because once he gets drafted to the Browns, the Lions or the Bills, winning will soon be just a pigment of his imagination.
The future stars of the 2010 NFL Draft class will take the field for the 61st Under Armour Senior Bowl on Saturday January 30, 2010. This will give them NFL scouts an opportunity to evaluate these talents further and finally decide who’ll be that one guy who can finally save their godforsaken franchise.
One of the players to watch out is Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow accepted the challenge to play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl by officially accepting an invitation to the senior showcase event.
Aside from Tebow, three other signal callers will participate in the Under Armour Senior Bowl. Oregon State’s Sean Canfield, Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour and Cincinnati’s Tony Pike have all accepted invitations to the 2010 game.
Sean Canfield earned first team All-Pac-10 honors his senior season after throwing for 3,271 yards and 21 touchdowns. His 251.6 passing yards per game was tops in the Pac-10 and he ranked second in the league in passing efficiency at 141.9. He led the Beavers to an 8 and 5 record and Las Vegas Bowl appearance this season while setting the school mark for completion…

But before we get there, we still have other huge BCS bowl games for you as the New Mexico Bowl gets the first taste of the Bowl spotlight with its date this Saturday night. It features a matchup of the Fresno State Bulldogs taking on the Wyoming Cowboys. Online sportsbooks have installed the Bulldogs as 12.5-point favorites, with an Over/Under of 55.
Here are just some betting trends to take note of if you’re betting on this game.
Fresno State has not thrived when favored by more than 8-points, going 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games with that situation.
Wyoming has been solid in their last eight games when listed as an underdog in general, the Cowboys are 6-2 ATS in such situations.
SPORTSBETTING.com is reporting 70 percent of all the betting action on this bowl game so far has come in on the favored Bulldogs.
Also on Saturday, we have a bowl game that harkens back to the middle ages with the University of Central Florida Knights and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights meeting in the St. Petersburg Bowl.

Selection Sunday is on March 15, in case you didn’t know.
That means, you should now be getting ready for the March Madness bracket tournament with Selection Sunday just around the corner. The opening round of the tournament begins on March 17 as the rest of the field gets narrowed down to four for the 2009 NCAA Final Four on April 4 and 6 at Ford Field in Detroit Michigan.
The predictions for which college teams will be picked for the 2009 March Madness bracket tournament have been coming out since the last tournament finished. The phrase ”March Madness” was coined by Henry V. Porter in 1939, to describe an Illinois high school basketball tourney. Brent Musburger first used it during his NCAA coverage in 1982 causing a legal battle almost as insane as the playoffs. But everyone finally worked things out and the madness was official. There isn’t a good record of who first called the playoffs ‘The Big Dance,’ but it does describe the action.
The five schools who have the winningnest history in NCAA Division I Men’s basketball include UCLA with 11 championships; Kentucky who won the March Madness tourney seven times; Indiana with 5 Big Dance victories; the North Carolina Tar Heels having outlasted all the other teams 4 times, including their championship win in 2005, and Duke with 3 titles.
There are 8 teams that won twice and others who are trying to reach that goal this year.
Leading the division in the America East are the Vermont Catamounts and…

Isn’t it amazing that USC always finds itself playing for the Rose Bowl?
You read it, the 2009 Rose Bowl will once again have the USC Trojans playing for the title when they go up against the Penn State Nittany Lions in Pasadena, California.
For the No.6 Penn State Nittany Lions, this will just be the third time that they’ll play in the Rose Bowl game. The No.5 USC Trojans, judging from their experience from all the Rose Bowl wars that they had, should give the Lions a tough battle for sure.
The USC Trojans will be making their fourth straight appearance and record 34th overall in college football’s oldest BCS bowl game,
known as the ”Grandaddy of Them All.”
The last time USC and Penn State played for the Rose Bowl, it was way back in 1923, four years before Joe Paterno was born, in the ninth Rose Bowl. USC beat Penn State then, 14-3. The Nittany Lions got their first Rose Bowl win 14 years ago under Paterno, beating Oregon 38-20. The Trojans, on the other hand, have put up a record of 23 Rose Bowl wins.
Both teams have 11-1 records and both know that if it wasn’t for that lone loss, both could be playing for the BCS national championship game. Pac-10 champion USC dropped a 27-21 decision to Oregon State on Sept.25 while Big Ten winner Penn State fell 24-23 at Iowa on Nov.8, losing on…

Here are some football games on the college gridiron you’ll probably like before you can root for your favorite NFL teams this Sunday.
It’s Week 5 of the 2008 NCAA college football season and if you lost some dough from that huge game between the USC Trojans and the Oregon State Beavers, here’s your chance to break even.
Two unbeaten teams collide Saturday when the 4-0 TCU Horned Frogs visit the 3-0 Oklahoma Sooners. Oklahoma pounded on Chattanooga 57-2 in its season opener Aug. 30 before routing Cincinnati 52-26 the following week. After a 55-14 victory over Washington in their last game Sept. 13, the Sooners have outscored opponents 164-42 and are second in the Football Bowl Subdivision with a 40.7 average margin of victory.
Against the TCU Horned Frogs however,
the Sooners will have to overcome the absence of defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger as he will be out at least four weeks because of a left foot injury. STILL, this is Oklahoma and not many people can beat these guys, especially in Sooners Country.
Another pair of winning teams face-off Saturday night as the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs square it off. Georgia (4-0, 1-0) came into the season as the nation’s No.1 team but with perhaps the…

The fifth week of the college football season is shaping up to be a good one.
The 2008 NCAA college football season resumes with Week 5 this Thursday as the no.1 team in the nation, the USC Trojans, visit the Oregon State Beavers in a game that is sure to be as lopsided as a football game between the Raider fans from the Black Hole and the Cowboys in Irving, Texas.
Yes, the USC Trojans are ranked no.1 in the country and on Thursday, they will begin their quest for a seventh straight conference title when they open their Pac-10 schedule against the Beavers.
The 2-0 Trojans haven’t played
since defeating then no.5 Ohio State Buckeyes 35-3 last September 13 in what was billed as a showdown between two of the best teams in the country. After all the hype preceding this game, the Trojans made the mighty Buckeyes look pathetic as USC established itself as a favorite to win the national title.
That win came one week after the Trojans’ season-opening 52-7 victory at Virginia. USC has been winning in convincing fashion that some are already comparing them to the 2003 and 2004 national championship Trojans squads led by Heisman trophy winners Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush.
On the other hand, Thursday night is also a big night for the…

We are only days away from football season people.
The 2008 NCAA college football season begins on August 28, Thursday, as the brand new college football year kicks off with a massive 14-game schedule. Yep, it has been a while since we had football and the NCAA is kicking it off with a bang.
There are three exciting games that you should not miss next week, beginning with the 23rd seed Wake Forest Demon Deacons visiting the Baylor Bears to mark the start of this year’s wars on the college gridiron.
Last season proved that the
2006 success the Wake Forest Demon Deacons put together was no fluke and that the program will continue to be a contender in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Sure, the success was not as substantial but still, with the Demon Deacons putting together a nine-win season, they were able to hang in there atop the Atlantic division race.
With a host of defensive players returning and a majority of the skill players on offense, head coach Jim Grobe will look to take the next big step this year. ”We’ve been in the position before where we’ve come into August without a very good feel about our starters,” coach Jim…

It’s a longshot but if these Wildcats want to earn an upset win over powerhouse USC, this Saturday is the best time.
The 2007-08 NCAA college football season couldn’t be any more exciting, especially with the number of upsets we’ve witnessed the last couple of weeks. As of press time, powerhouse USC is sitting 10th in the rankings and on Saturday, they could be going down the proverbial ladder even further.
Why? Well, USC Trojans quarterback John David Booty could miss this Saturday’s game after breaking his middle finger on his throwing hand in a shocking 24-23 loss to the Stanford Cardinal at home.
Oh yes, the USC Trojans lost to Stanford, ending their incredible 35-game home winning streak in a season that can perhaps be dubbed as the ”year of the upset.” Stanford’s win over USC last Saturday could very well be the upset of the season. After all, Stanford was a 41-point underdog coming to that game.
The Trojans will be facing a team they should have no business losing to for the second straight week. The 2-4 Arizona Wildcats are coming off a 31-16 loss to the Oregon State Beavers but with the Trojans’ star quarterback hurting, another upset could be in the making.
John David Booty has a broken finger in his…
