That’s right, the Steelers are probably starting to get sick and tired of all this shit their star quarterback always finds himself into during the offseason.
In case you haven’t heard, Ben Roethlisberger faced allegations that he sexually assaulted a 20 – year – old college student in the town of Milledgeville, Ga thus tarnishing his good and squeaky clean image.
The Pittsburgh Steelers meanwhile, are known for being a blue-collar franchise with a reputation for toughness without any tolerance for nonsense. It’s understandable that they are very upset with Roethlisberger and his recent antics.
The Steelers already tried to clean house and keep their reputation intact by dealing star wideout Santonio Holmes to the New York Jets for a measly 5th round pick after the Super Bowl MVP was suspended by the league due to violations of substance abuse policy.
Now it looks like it’s Roethlisberger’s turn although I don’t know if the Steelers will really trade the guy who already got them two Super Bowl titles.
But if they do, rumors have circulated that the Buffalo Bills are interested, but an even stronger possibility is the St. Louis Rams. The Rams hold the no.1 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and according to the rumors, the Steelers are keen on drafting Sam Bradford, a guy they consider to be a ‘’sure thing” as a franchise quarterback.
The Rams may offer their no.1 pick as well as their 2011 first round pick, and perhaps even more, in exchange for Roethlisberger.
The Rams are desperate for a credible playmaker on offense…

Will Tim Tebow be drafted within the first five picks of the first round?
Arguably the biggest story line heading into the 2010 NFL Draft involves a quarterback who won’t even be the first, second or possibly third player taken at his own position.
Of course we refer to former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow of Florida, as his status remains very unpredictable with the draft set to begin Thursday night in New York. And Tebow’s draft position is one of many draft props available on Bodog’s NFL odds.
Tebow is one of the most decorated college football players ever and there is no more marketable player in this year’s draft, but you won’t find a consensus on whether he can play quarterback in the NFL.
The lefty already has changed his throwing mechanics in an effort to fix one major flaw that NFL scouts have harped on. Tebow’s bruising running style simply won’t work in the NFL, and he rarely took a snap under center with the Florida Gators. So who will take a chance on him and when?
Bodog lists Tebow going between picks 30 and 50 as the -200 betting favorite. The Jacksonville Jaguars have long been rumored as a destination, as Jacksonville is Tebow’s hometown and the franchise has had trouble selling tickets. Tebow would help fix that.
Meanwhile, there is little doubt how the top three picks will play out beginning Thursday night as the draft moves to primetime TV and over three days for the first time. Former Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford is expected to go No.1 overall, but will it be to St. Louis or possibly Cleveland?
Nebraska’s Ndamukong Suh and Oklahoma’s Gerald McCoy should…

There sure have been a couple of HUGE surprises last week.
Admit it, the way Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford came back to the field last weekend caught most of you off guard. Hopefully, they didn’t make you lose that much dough. Coming to Week 7 of the 2009 NCAA college football season, we’ll get you ready and hyped up for this weekend’s games so you won’t make the same mistakes twice.
Coming from their first win over a Football Bowl Subdivision team in nearly a year, the Louisville Cardinals gun for back to back victories over another when they play the Connecticut Huskies Saturday night.
Ryan Payne kicked a 32-yard field goal with 30 seconds left to play to give Louisville its first FBS win, 25-23, over Southern Mississippi. Wide receiver Scott Long had a career day for the Cardinals, with 146 yards receiving on five catches, plus a touchdown.
The Connecticut Huskies, meanwhile, look to bounce back from a disheartening loss they suffered against Pittsburgh. Connecticut (3-2, 0-1 in Big East) led 21-6 after Andre Dixon scored on a 2-yard run to end a 61-yard drive with 3:56 remaining in the third quarter. But Pitt quarterback Bill Stull, who made several major mistakes in the first half, found Jonathan Baldwin on a 26-yard scoring pass play set up by Dion Lewis’ 32-yard run to cut it to 21-13 before eventually stealing the game from…

Bradford’s back. That’s everything you need to know this week.
Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford and the rest of the Oklahoma Sooners are ready to face the Texas Longhorns this Saturday as the 2009 NCAA college football season continues with Week 7.
Sam Bradford had 49 throws in a 33-7 for the Oklahoma Sooners over Baylor. Bradford threw for 389 yards and a touchdown after missing the last month with a sprained AC joint in his right, throwing shoulder. It was the 14th 300-yard passing game of his career, matching the school record set by 2000 Heisman runner-up Josh Heupel.
If there’s still any questions on Bradford’s health, he sure answered those in emphatic fashion.
”I think that’s something that we were all curious around here is how I would react to 3 1/2-4 hours in my pads, on and off, not throwing the whole time, kind of sitting on the bench, coming back and making some throws,” Sam Bradford said. ”I felt like my arm responded great, and I felt good out there.”
”To have been off as much as he has and go out there in his first go at it to play as well as he did, I thought he played great,” Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. ”He stays away from the poor, the negative plays or the bad plays and he had a great night.”
The undefeated Texas Longhorns, on the other hand, look to…

Yep, he’s down and out.
And just like that, the entire complexion of the 2009 NCAA college football season has changed. Can the Florida Gators remain on top without their prized quarterback? And we thought the injury to Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford was big.
You read it, Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow, regarded by many as the best quarterback in college football today, is out with an injury after getting knocked out in their game against the Kentucky Wildcats last weekend.
Sure, the Florida Gators won the game, 41-7, but after losing Tim Tebow that way that fast, the Gators may have lost a heck of a whole lot than what they gained from beating the Wildcats last Saturday.
With the Florida Gators in control of the game, leading the Kentucky Wildcats 31-7 in the third quarter and driving deep in Kentucky territory, Gators QB Tim Tebow was sacked hard by…

This is a huge one with both teams desperately needing a win.
Week 5 of the 2009 NCAA college football season continues with a non-conference game that can be considered potentially risky on both ends as the Oklahoma Sooners visit the Miami Hurricanes.
The Miami Hurricanes are coming off of a beat down at the hands of ACC Coastal division rivals Virginia Tech last week, so this could be a bad time for the Bradford-less Sooners to visit the Hurricanes.
Sure, the Oklahoma Sooners have been rolling over opponents in the past couple weeks, but then again, they haven’t played a ranked team since BYU in the opening week, a game in which Oklahoma was shutdown and upset by the Cougars.
The Sooners hope Sam Bradford can return from a two-game absence and complement their outstanding defense playing their fourth successive game against a ranked team.
Sam Bradford won the Heisman last season and finished with 4,720 yards and 50 touchdown passes. He decided to return to Oklahoma for another chance at a national title after falling short in the championship game in January. Unfortunately for him, the 2009 season got off to a rocky start when he suffered a shoulder injury in a season-opening 14-13 loss to then No.20 BYU.
The last time these two teams met, the Sooners simply…

They have to, or else, they’re looking at one long season ahead.
In case you didn’t know, Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a sprain to his right AC joint, located at the top of his shoulder, to kick off the 2009 NCAA college football season.
That’s right, Sam Bradford, the 2008 Heisman Trophy winner, is out to kick off the Sooner campaign and although the Oklahoma Sooners do not expect Bradford to need surgery on his sprained right shoulder, this is still more than enough reason to be worried.
Head coach Bob Stoops said the initial evaluations by doctors showed that Sam Bradford did not suffer any damage to his collarbone, rotator cuff or other parts of his shoulder when he sprained his AC joint just before halftime in Oklahoma’s 14-13 loss to no.20 BYU.
Yes, they’re trying to project that this injury to their starting quarterback is not that big of a deal and they expect Bradford to be back in four weeks. Wishful thinking perhaps?
For now, the Sooners need to find a quick fix and as far as that is concerned, redshirt freshman Landry Jones wasn’t bad when he filled in for Bradford, give the fact his first college pass came in the third quarter.
Jones seemed ready, having embraced assistant Josh Heupel’s message of preparedness. Asked how the injury might change his life, Jones responded, ”I go from…”

Football season is coming. Thank God.
Tradition, pageantry and all out excitement will fill the air when the 2009 NCAA college football season kicks off. The anticipation has been building all summer for college football enthusiast around the nation. After such an exciting and competitive year in 2008, the 2009 campaign expects to be even better.
All three Heisman trophy finalists are back including previous winners Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford. Speaking of Tebow, the Florida Gators will be looking for their third national title in the last 4 years and since this will be the last year that Tebow will be playing for Florida, it should be interesting how this one plays out.
As for the teams you should be betting on once the season gets here, it is understandable that the Florida Gators is one of those teams. Two national titles in three years proves that the Gators are on a class of their own. The Gator offense was nearly untouchable in the SEC last season, averaging a lucrative 43 points per game ranking 4th in the nation. The Gators may not have the explosive talent of Percy Harvin back, but Tim Tebow will still have…

The Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners, which team will be your pick?
Yes, the biggest game in college football is on as the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners play in the 2009 BCS national championship game on January 8 in Miami, Florida.
There were seven other teams with one loss at the top of the rankings, just like the Oklahoma Sooners and the Florida Gators, both at 12-1. Two more finished the season a perfect 12-0, that’s the Boise State Broncos and the Utah Utes. But since nobody dominated the last two months of the season like Oklahoma and Florida did, they got the go to play in the national title game despite having a loss each.
The Oklahoma Sooners and the
Florida Gators, after dominating the rest of the field during the last few weeks, were ranked No.1 and No.2 respectively in the somewhat controversial BCS standings to end the regular season. And although some people may argue if Florida and Oklahoma were the right choices to play for the national title, both teams are still two of the best programs on the college gridiron and we’re still in for a treat in Miami.
Besides, the two quarterbacks playing for the two competing teams on January 8 were the top two candidates for the 2008 Heisman trophy. Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford won it while Tim Tebow of Florida had to settle for runner-up honors…

The biggest college football game of the year is this Thursday and SportsBetting.com is on top of it.
Since everything in college football all boils down to the 2009 BCS national championship game this Thursday, it was only fitting for our friends from SportsBetting.com (you know, those guys badgering us to bombard you with links every now and then…) to have quite some interesting propositions for you to bet on before the big game.
Dolphin Stadium in Miami will be the place for the BCS title game where two high-octane teams will collide as the Florida Gators take on the Oklahoma Sooners. It’s going to be a good one since the Sooners have already ran their mouths before facing their rivals from Florida, claiming that Gators quarterback Tim Tebow is probably the fourth best QB… in the Big 12. He he…
The two teams earned their spots in the title game by dominating college football over the final two months. The second-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (12-1) scored at least 58 points in each of its last six games, winning by an average of 33.3 points. The Sooners, winners of seven in a row overall, pounded then-unbeaten Texas Tech 65-21 on Nov. 22, and followed that with blowouts of then-No.11 Oklahoma State and then-No.19 Missouri in the Big 12 title game.
The top-ranked Florida Gators (12-1), meanwhile, won their final nine games and knocked off then-No.1 Alabama in the SEC championship game to earn a…
