Looks like T.O. might finally have a home.
You read it, the St. Louis Rams have intensified discussions in hopes of signing free agent Terrell Owens for the coming 2010 NFL football season, according to sources close to the player and team.
The Rams asked Terrell Owens through his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, if he would consider a serious contract proposal, even though they are not considered a playoff contender. Rosenhaus told the team Owens would definitely consider it, sources said. A high-ranking Rams official said a formal offer for Owens could come soon.
The St. Louis Rams believe Owens would take heat off their young wide receiver corps that includes Donnie Avery, Laurent Robinson and rookie Mardy Gilyard, as well as loosen up opposing defenses from focusing on running back Steven Jackson.
The Cincinnati Bengals, as reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, are also engaged in talks with Owens. The Bengals signed free-agent receiver Antonio Bryant during the offseason but Bryant has struggled so far. According to a team source, that has motivated the Bengals to take another look at Owens.
One source said the Rams have gotten very aggressive in their pursuit of Owens, however, the Bengals still have given no indication they’re ready to offer a contract. They want to get a good look at their young wide receivers and have five preseason games to do it. They need some of those guys to play special teams.
Chad Ochocinco, Bryant and Owens would not be special teams-type…

That’s right, the Steelers are probably starting to get sick and tired of all this shit their star quarterback always finds himself into during the offseason.
In case you haven’t heard, Ben Roethlisberger faced allegations that he sexually assaulted a 20 – year – old college student in the town of Milledgeville, Ga thus tarnishing his good and squeaky clean image.
The Pittsburgh Steelers meanwhile, are known for being a blue-collar franchise with a reputation for toughness without any tolerance for nonsense. It’s understandable that they are very upset with Roethlisberger and his recent antics.
The Steelers already tried to clean house and keep their reputation intact by dealing star wideout Santonio Holmes to the New York Jets for a measly 5th round pick after the Super Bowl MVP was suspended by the league due to violations of substance abuse policy.
Now it looks like it’s Roethlisberger’s turn although I don’t know if the Steelers will really trade the guy who already got them two Super Bowl titles.
But if they do, rumors have circulated that the Buffalo Bills are interested, but an even stronger possibility is the St. Louis Rams. The Rams hold the no.1 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft and according to the rumors, the Steelers are keen on drafting Sam Bradford, a guy they consider to be a ‘’sure thing” as a franchise quarterback.
The Rams may offer their no.1 pick as well as their 2011 first round pick, and perhaps even more, in exchange for Roethlisberger.
The Rams are desperate for a credible playmaker on offense…

How about that, we’re already in the halfway point of the college football calendar.
That’s right, the 2009 NCAA college football season continues with Week 10 and we have quite a few rivalries that will be revisited this weekend.
First off is this rivalry game between the Navy Midshipmen and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Notre Dame is coming off a 23-0 shutout win against Washington State. Yes, they never stood a chance and since Washington State is one of the worst teams this year both offensively and defensively, Notre Dame took advantage.
The 6-2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish are chasing a berth for a BCS bowl game this season. They will close out this month with a game at home against the Navy Midshipmen before taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates. They’ll be home for Connecticut and finish at Stanford.
Our pick? Since Navy quarterback Ricky Dobbs is questionable for this Saturday’s game, we’re picking Notre Dame to win it. Irish by seven.
The Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions collide at Beaver Stadium as Week 10 continues. Penn State (8-1, 4-1) had three touchdowns in less than 4 minutes to turn a squeaker into a rout in a 34-13 victory at Northwestern while Ohio State dispatched New Mexico State…

Who cares as long as you win a lot of dough this weekend right?
That’s exactly what we’ll be helping you with as Week 8 of the 2009 NCAA college football season continues.
On Friday, two powerhouse teams collide when the no.3 Texas Longhorns play the Missouri Tigers in what would be the Longhorns’ first test as the no.3 team in the nation. Texas (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) really took over in the second half against Oklahoma in their 16-13 win last weekend. The question now is, do they have enough left in the tank for what is shaping up to be another classic showdown with the Tigers?
The Missouri Tigers are going to play like a desperate team. Losing a second conference game this early could hamper any chances of making the conference title game. The only thing they could do right now is pray that linebacker Will Ebner, after undergoing knee surgery a few days ago, can make it in time for Texas.
Do yourself a favor and bet on the Longhorns on this one.
Next, we have the Tennessee Volunteers visiting the no.2 team in the nation, the Alabama Crimson Tide. After getting a huge 45-19 win over Georgia, the Volunteers headed into their bye week with a good feeling about where they are headed at this point of the season. They will now be facing the Alabama Crimson Tide and in the eyes of many long-time Volunteer fans, an upset of the Crimson Tide would make this season a success even if the team finishes the season without winning a single game again.
I can’t blame them too, the Alabama Crimson Tide, ranked no.2 in…

One who can at least win a game for them.
0-16. That’s what the Detroit Lions are looking to improve on for the 2009 NFL football season and since they didn’t win shit, improving on THAT wouldn’t be too much of a burden right?
Depending on who the Detroit Lions take in the 2009 NFL Draft, it still remains to be seen whether the Lions will have a hard time trying to improve on the 0-16 campaign they had in 2008. And judging by the crop of talents we have this year, we might have an idea on who the Lions will pick.
The quarterback position was the position the Detroit Lions had most of their problems with. They even tried resurrecting Daunte Culpepper’s career and give him a shot at QB. And while all of their experiments at quarterback failed miserably, this guy from the Georgia Bulldogs might just give them the fix they are looking for.
Yup, the Lions just might take Matthew Stafford of Georgia for the overall no.1 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The Lions know they need a quarterback BAD and if they don’t pick the best QB in the draft on this round, their might not be any left.
So, with the Lions’ pick already settled, let’s…

Yep, it starts today.
In case you have no idea what that is, the 2009 March Madness bracket tournament will be kicking off today as 64 of the nation’s best college basketball programs will be hoping to win the national championship in Detroit.
Of course, it’s a long way from now to the national championship game in Mo’ Town. The field of 64 would be narrowed down to the final 16 first, dubbed as the Sweet 16, then to the Elite Eight before we see the remaining four teams that will qualify for the 2009 NCAA Final Four.
The no.1 seed North Carolina Tar Heels will kick off their campaign in the tournament when they play the 16th seed Radford Highlanders from the South region. Radford has only been averaging 67.3 points a game this year, making them a rather easy out for the Tar Heels, who’s averaging 92.7 points this season.
Take the North Carolina Tar Heels to win their first game from the South region in Day 1 of these March Madness bracket battles. Don’t you even think about…

It’s put up or shut up for the Hoyas.
Like Georgetown product Allen Iverson, it seems the Georgetown Hoyas just can’t do anything right in the 2009 NCAA college basketball season lately. The Hoyas can’t afford another loss if it hopes to earn a fourth consecutive NCAA tournament berth.
Facing them this Monday night is the Louisville Cardinals, a team going for their fourth win in a row. The Cardinals and the Hoyas last met March 8 at the Verizon Center, with Georgetown winning 55-52 in a defensive struggle to claim the Big East regular-season title. This season, it’s been a different story, to say the least.
Louisville is once again in position to clinch the conference crown while remaining a fixture in the top 10 of the AP poll. But as far as the Georgetown Hoyas are concerned, they’ve gone from one of the best programs in college hoops to a team that can’t even crack the top 10 in their own league.
They’ve lost eight of their last ten games, most recently falling 78-72 at home to No.10 Marquette on Saturday that prompted Hoyas head coach John Thompson III to refer to this loss as his toughest season as a head coach.
Sure, the Cardinals haven’t faced nearly the same level of…
