These guys have posted betting odds for WrestleMania XXV! Can you really bet on something rigged?

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

And I’m assuming these guys know that wrestling is fake.

But did that stop them? NO. And in case you didn’t get it yet, YES, they have betting odds for WrestleMania XXV. That means, you can win some cash while enjoying the pleasure of watching Edge and the Big Show rip Cena apart. (That is, of course, if you watch this stuff…)

For pro wrestling fans, WrestleMania is a huge annual spectacle where all storylines they have built on for the entire year will come to a conclusion. Yes, they have these ‘’storylines” in wrestling that can rival even the most epic of soap operas and although it takes the action away from the ring at times, admit it, you’re entertained.

Randy OrtonSo with WrestleMania XXV just around the corner, online sportsbook Totedaddy.net felt it was only fitting to put up some odds. Now I don’t know if these guys are pro wrestling fans or not but one thing’s for certain, they are taking advantage of pro wrestling’s cult following, something our usual sportsbooks can’t seem to have time for.

Here are just some of the odds these guys have posted for Wrestlemania XXV:

Let’s start with the obvious one, the WWE championship match between the champion, Triple H, and the challenger, Randy Orton. After punting…

Jeez… WWE Wrestler Chris Jericho punched a girl

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

At least he won this parking lot brawl match. He he…

In what has turned out to be one pathetic display of a pseudo celebrity, WWE Superstar Chris Jericho just hit a girl right on the face with a vicious hook. Yep, apparently, the 225-pound wrestler found it only fitting to punch a woman right after he spits on her face.

It all happened outside Save on Foods Memorial Centre after a WWE live event last Saturday. The ”parking lot brawl” if you will, was captured by a witness using a cell phone camera and posted it on YouTube.

Witnesses said that the incident happened when Chris Jericho was surrounded by a mob, including a woman who castigated him for losing the heavyweight championship to John Cena. The woman who still can’t accept the fact that Jericho lost to Cena, (somebody tell this chick that wrestling is fake…) approached the wrestler’s Chevy Tahoe to vent on Jericho some more. Jericho then spits on her before punching her smack on the kisser…

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Big Show at WrestleMania

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

At least Floyd Mayweather Jr. admits that this WrestleMania match he just signed for is for publicity.

You read it people, Floyd Mayweather Jr., the man who currently holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight championship belt and the title ”best pound for pound fighter in the world” will be taking on professional wrestler ”The Big Show” in this annual spectacle held by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) entitled WrestleMania XXIV.

Yep, the WWE sure knows how to hype up this annual event. For all ya’ll who didn’t know, WrestleMania is pro wrestling’s Super Bowl.

And after getting multi-billionaire Donald Trump last year at WrestleMania, this time, they just signed ”Money” Floyd Mayweather Jr. into a match with the seven-foot, 400-pound (or so they say…) Big Show.

The seeds of the Mayweather – Show rivalry were planted at No Way Out, when the seven-foot, 400-pound (there it is again…) WWE Superstar taunted the six-time boxing champion, and was left bloodied with a broken nose.

Floyd Mayweather Jr., a longtime WWE fan and, for the…

Trump slaps McMahon before WrestleMania 23 Sunday

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

Yep, the match between World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Chairman Vince McMahon and business tycoon Donald Trump is still on.

For all ya’ll who don’t know jack, Donald Trump challenged Vince McMahon to a match at WrestleMania 23 where each of them will choose a representative. The representatives will then compete in a wrestling match and once one wrestler loses, the man he’s representing gets his hair shaved bald.

THAT means one billionaire will look like an egg once it’s all said and done. Returning WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin will referee the match dubbed as the ”battle of the billionaires.”

McMahon chose the ”Samoan Bulldozer” Umaga to represent him while Donald Trump selected the ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley for their match at WrestleMania 23. WWE’s annual spectacle will be in Detroit at Ford Field on Sunday.

The WWE held a press conference at Trump Tower for WrestleMania 23 where Donald Trump and Vince McMahon stood face to face for the last time before one of them gets to look like Stone Cold Steve Austin himself.

So when did Donald Trump slapped Vince McMahon?

Trump and McMahon were both jawing at each other, with McMahon saying, ”I can’t wait to see the look on his face after Lashley loses to Umaga. I’m going to snatch Donald Trump, strap him down into this chair, and SHAVE HIS HEAD!”

Of course, Donald Trump retaliated by saying, ”This morning, I was asked by a major television station if Vince McMahon and I are friends. We used to be, but I don’t like him one bit lately, and that’s…”

After his thing with Rosie O’Donnell, Donald Trump challenges Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 23

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

Yep, we’ve been seeing ”Da Donald” a lot lately huh?

Just when you thought the whole ”Donald Trump vs Rosie O’Donnell shit” was… well… the shit, Donald Trump apparently is now challenging sports entertainment icon and owner of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Vincent Kennedy McMahon to a match at WrestleMania 23.

Now, we wouldn’t be writing about pro wrestling matches here in OddJack on a regular basis (not yet anyway…) but this little match between Vinnie Mac and Da Donald sure deserves the mention.

Hell, it’s not everyday you’ll see trump_mcmahon.jpgtwo rich old farts, both having ridiculous haircuts, settling their differences inside a WWE ring.

AND YEAH… Speaking of those two ridiculous haircuts, Donald Trump challenged Vince McMahon in one episode of the WWE’s flagship brand, Monday Night RAW, to a hair vs. hair match.

For all ya’ll unfamiliar with pro wrestling language, a hair vs. hair match is a wrestling match with a stipulation wherein the loser gets his hair shaved bald right there in the ring.

Yep, we will definitely see either…
