Batista leaves the WWE to give MMA a shot

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

The latest former WWE human action figure to start thinking out loud about an MMA career is Dave Batista.

Yep, Dave Batista, the half-American, half-Filipino freak of nature who walks around with that ridiculous soul patch, has decided to give MMA a shot. He will be following the footsteps of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, who have all professional wrestling experience in the WWF/WWE and made the transition to MMA.

Dave Batista has reportedly begun training for MMA to potentially transition into the sport. Batista started training at the notable Cesar Gracie camp in California. The camp could help decide whether Batista will actually make the transition.

And get this, it is being reported that if Batista does join Strikeforce, his first fight would be against fellow former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley.

Like Batista, Lashley made the jump from wrestling to MMA. Since his first fight in 2008, Lashley has gone a perfect 5-0. He has not competed however since January of this year as he is recovering from a knee injury which is expected to be healed sometime soon.

Both Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley have wrestled in high school or college and have that background to train for mixed martial arts. Batista has nothing but the “wrestling” you see on TV every week. This would be his downfall if it takes years to train for MMA.

If for some reason Strikeforce does sign him a to a fight contract, it would be strictly a business decision.

Batista was a huge draw for the WWE. He has had…

Alex Rodriguez, welcome to the MLB Steroids Club

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

seth-edward-oneal.jpgYes, in case you haven’t heard about it yet, A-Rod joins the elite few who has anabolic steroids in their system.

New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, arguably baseball’s biggest superstar and the $300 million cornerstone of the Yankee franchise, tested positive for anabolic steroids in 2003. Rodriguez’ name appeared on a list of 104 players who tested positive for steroids during MLB’s survey six years ago.

THAT survey was suppose to be hush-hush, for the players to know and for us to be left in the dark with, but since some weasel ratted the New York Yankees star, now named A-Roid, out, it’s all out in the open and Rodriguez doesn’t have any choice but to take it in the ass.

Alex RodriguezOne of baseball’s most productive players and the recipient of its two most lucrative contracts, the 33-year-old Rodriguez joins Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire and other superstars whose achievements are now thrown into question because of performance-enhancing drugs.

A-Rod was the American League MVP that season with the Texas Rangers and winner of the home run title.

Several of baseball’s biggest stars have come under scrutiny since baseball’s steroid problem went public, shattering legacies and leading to criminal…

Did Alex Rodriguez got away with Steroids Use?

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

seth-edward-oneal.jpgAh, A-Rod, once Madonna’s boy toy and the very player the Yankees rely on these days, probably got away with steroids use six years ago.

You just know that people are already anticipating for the coming 2009 MLB baseball season when they start talking about baseball as early as the conclusion of the football season.

And since talking about baseball is as synonymous as talking about anabolic steroids, it was no surprise that the early topics that come out every time baseball fans start talking about their favorite sport pertains to another dude who injected the prohibited drug on his ass.

This time, we have Alex Rodriguez, the New York Alex RodriguezYankees third baseman, a guy who once paraded around with Madonna and probably the only one who has a physique that yells ‘’steroids use.”

Other than Barry Bonds of course.

Sources claim that Alex Rodriguez may have gotten away with the use of anabolic steroids. The New York Yankees star was tested positive for testosterone and Primobolan, an anabolic steroid, during the 2003 season when he won the AL home run title and the MVP award.

He was playing for the Texas Rangers then.

Fortunately for Alex Rodriguez, there were no penalties for a positive result then. When A-Rod was asked for comment about…

Why is this Brazilian football star named Ronaldo always getting injured with AC Milan? Simple. Steroids.

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Yes, that is apparently what a former doctor at the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is saying.

In case you didn’t know, AC Milan forward Ronaldo is injured again. The Brazilian football superstar ruptured his left knee tendon in a 1-1 draw with Livorno a few days ago, leading him to be carried off crying like a bitch… or worse… like Dwyane Wade.

The injury happened two minutes after Ronaldo entered the fixture. AC Milan sent their injured Brazilian phenom to the hospital not knowing the full extent of the injury.

Ronaldo injured”It’s a problem with the tendon in his left knee, not the knee that was operated on in the past,” AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said. ”The severity of it isn’t known yet, but it’s a serious problem.”

Ronaldo is a three-time FIFA World Player of the Year despite battling with numerous injuries throughout his career. Why is Ronaldo always getting injured?

A Bernando Santi, a former doctor at the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) says that Ronaldo’s injury problems in recent years was…

Indicted Barry Bonds, from Hall of Fame to Prison

Friday, November 16th, 2007

seth-edward-oneal.jpgEgad. What in the world is happening to our suppose to be ”world class sports athletes.”

I’m sure you’ve already heard about all that stuff about Michael Vick heading to the 2007-08 NFL football season. I know damn well too that you’re well aware that the NBA has its fair share of jailbirds playing around their basketball courts.

So what’s the latest? Barry Bonds. Yep, the same man who became the MLB all-time leader in home runs, is indicted on perjury and obstruction charges. I guess all that talk about Bonds’ records having asterisks in them could be put to rest now because the guy’s probably not going anywhere but in prison.

Barry Bonds indictedThe indictment culminates a four-year investigation into steroid use and charged the former San Francisco Giants superstar with four counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice. He’s facing a maximum of 30 looong years in prison if convicted.

”During the criminal investigation, evidence was obtained including positive tests for the presence of anabolic steroids and other performance enhancing substances for Bonds and other athletes,” the indictment said.

Barry Bonds finished the past MLB baseball season with 762 home runs, that’s…

Another Professional Wrestler died, Brian Adams R.I.P.

Friday, August 17th, 2007

seth-edward-oneal.jpgThis is now the second professional wrestler who died after WWE Chairman Vince McMahon faked his own death last June.

Well, in case you’re wondering, NO, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is not really dead. That’s all confirmed now after he made his first TV appearance since the exploding limo stunt, paying his respects to the late Chris Benoit.

Just this week though, although you may not have heard of it, former WWF Superstar Brian Adams, a.k.a. Crush (I think he once was a member of Demolition…) was found dead in his home.

Brian AdamsThere were no signs of injury to the 44-year-old pro wrestler and according to Tampa police spokeswoman Janelle McGregor, foul play was not suspected although the authorities were waiting for autopsy results from the medical examiner before proceeding again with their investigation.

Brian Adams’ wife, who for some reason refused to identify herself, found her husband unconscious and not breathing. That’s when she called 911 at around 11 a.m.

McGregor said that fire rescue workers pronounced…

2007 MLB All-Star Game in San Francisco is all about Barry Bonds, but Tony La Russa thinks otherwise

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

Yep, he has Barry Bonds batting SECOND instead of CLEANUP.

San Francisco, California will host the 78th Midsummer Classic, otherwise known as the 2007 MLB All-Star game, so it is only right to have the entire event center around one guy and one guy only, San Francisco’s own Barry Bonds. Right?

Apparently, NL All-Star team manager Tony La Russa thinks otherwise. Yeah sure, thousands of MLB baseball fans from San Francisco will flock Giants stadium for the 2007 MLB All-Star game and see their hero Barry Bonds send some baseballs flying. But as long as Bonds is playing for the National League on Tuesday, he will bat second instead of the more ‘popular’ clean-up spot Bonds has been accustomed to.

barry_bonds5.jpgTHIS WAY, we won’t be seeing any grand slam home runs from Barry Bonds, at least during the early innings of the 2007 MLB All-Star game.

With the San Francisco Giants superstar batting second for the National League All-Stars, Tony La Russa selected Ken Griffey Jr. to bat fourth and the team’s clean-up man. Understandably, Griffey couldn’t be any happier.

”I’m hitting fourth? Just tell him to get the guys over for me,” Ken Griffey Jr. said, hoping that his NL teammates load the…
