The Road to Super Bowl XLII Begins

NFL 2006-2007 Season

Yes, after the Indianapolis Colts won Super Bowl XLI to give Peyton Manning his first ever Super Bowl ring, the 2007-08 NFL football season gives the rest of the NFL teams a brand new opportunity to win gold.

Of course, Peyton Manning and the rest of the Colts still have a chance to win it all again too.

However, in this brand new NFL season, it definitely looks like the Colts’ nemesis are looking to dethrone them atop the football food chain. Yes, they are the New England Patriots and with Tom Brady and the rest of his boys jacking up their offense with new big name receivers, we’re definitely in for yet another AFC championship match-up.

That is if both the Colts and the Patriots were to meet in the playoffs again.

The Patriots, after a season of not knowing who Tom Brady should throw the football to, will be having Randy Moss playing for them this season. Yes, they got him away from the struggling Oakland Raiders.

Although the Super Bowl XLI champions, Indianapolis Colts, are now probably behind the Pats in terms of talent, they still have the players that can still take them to the top.

Sure, they lost running back Dominic Rhodes, but they still have the solid combination of Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison and that is STILL one of the best quarterback-receiver tandem in football. PLUS Reggie Wayne hasn’t even started yet.

Yes, it is already looking like an interesting season. And don’t forget the NFC, where they still have the likes of the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys, waiting to take it to another level this 2007-08 NFL football season.
